Last week I deleted my LinkedIn app.
I got banned for a few hours and then shadowbanned for some days.
(Yup. No known reason—as always)
So I decided to slow things down and deleted the app.
I’d open it a few times on my laptop and that was it until I installed it on my mobile again yesterday.
Crazy to think but it’s true that:
LinkedIn or any other social platform can terminate your account any day or time.
With no clue at all.
So… if you’ve got any preparations, good for you.
Besides that, I have something to tell you:
All those who post generic AI writings are gonna lose soon. Why?
Using AI for writing is getting smarter.
It can now write exactly like you, or anyone you’d like.
And if you’re also tired of those generic AI writings, share this with someone or on your feed.
Will help someone at least.
Okay now….
Let’s make ChatGPT write like you:
1: Choose and analyze some of your pre-written texts.
Yup. It can be a copy you once wrote or a blog.
The idea is to know the ins and outs of your writing style.
To start, use this prompt first:
I want you to analyze some pieces of text and tell me what kind of writing it is. Give me all the ins and outs of the writing that you can find. Analyze everything from head to toe. Even, analyze the tiniest details and provide a summary of that. Feel free to search the web and get help from there too if you needed. Tell me once you're ready
By now, you should’ve chosen some of your writings.
I chose one of my LinkedIn posts.
But… the more content you train it on, the better.
Here’s how it analyzed my writing style:
Now, time to put it into real work.
2: Use the analysis to write something in a new chat.
Yup. I could try in the same chat but didn’t cuz the memory is still there. That won’t give us the whole picture.
Instead, let’s open a new chat and see if it can write like we do.
Here, we’ll do two things:
a) Try a similar idea to the initial post I used for analysis.
b) Try a different idea.
Firstly, let’s try out a post-similar idea.
This will help us check how similar it can get.
Ask about writing something about the idea and paste the analysis below that.
Here’s how it went:
Close enough. Looks like it’s working well.
Now, let’s try out a different ideas:
The same thing again. Prompt with the analysis and that’s it.
Here’s how this went:
(It did well looking at my initial post)
Now, the even better thing:
Train a GPT on these instructions (I mean the analysis) and ask it to follow them every time it writes.
That’ll save you time for repetitive prompting.
Plus, the output will be closer to what you want each time.
Now there’s one more thing almost everyone misses…
3: Ask ChatGPT to add or remove certain elements.
This is an additional analysis of what you think of your writing style.
Imagine you use fewer adverbs or more phrases. Add that to the analysis before even using it.
Some of the copywriting dos and don’ts are:
Avoid using adverbs
Use simple and 1 or 2-syllable words
Use fewer commas and short sentences
Avoid using passive voice unless necessary
Use benefits instead of features
Write at the reading level of a 5th-grade student
Use more short words and less long words
Start sentences with subjects and verbs.
Annnnnd, a lot more….
(I suggest adding these to the analysis)
I’m not gonna give you a copywriting lesson here (maybe in the future), but…
Try to understand how you write so you can use that in the analysis.
And if you could, try to repeat that over time.
Cuz how you write now may not be the same in the future.
Before I’m gonna wrap this up, listen!
I don’t suggest fully relying on just this. Why?
AI may hallucinate. Or it may not fully understand your writing style.
Use this method as a way of assisting yourself and…
That’s it.

This is gold! Thank you!
So my question is, I am new to the industry.
I was a good writer, I won't say an excellent one though.
But started with content writing and then was introduced to copywriting and voila...
I loved it!
Found it interesting!
But but,
Before I could even practice more, I was introduced to GPT and someone taught me all the prompting tricks too.
Now now I feel I rely on it so much that my style is lost somewhere...
I DON'T want to rely solely on it!
I try revamp the writing and try giving it my touch, but I feel guilty
Guilty that it's not me
I feel sad
I feel that I am loosing my confidence
What advice you would give me?
