“I don’t know what to write about.”
I’ve heard this sentence in so many ways so many times. And a lot of people use it as an excuse to swallow the work of content.
Well first, it’s not a monster end.
It happens to everyone. You just gotta be mindful of how to handle it.
Two, ideas are spreading everywhere these days.
Your close connections. Their conversations. The internet talk.
Just look around and you’ll see something shining telling you to write a piece of content about it.
So what then?
You have to find that path.
And here’s what I’m going to show you today.
Finding ideas & filtering the best of them for your content
1/ The Hunt
Well, your arrow to hunt is a tool that goes and catches conversations.
In this case, it’s Perplexity.
Open it. Turn on Social.
Then type this prompt:
Give me 50 questions people ask about [any topic in specifics] on reddit
Let’s go over that…
Hmm. That’s a lot of ideas.
These are people looking for solutions to their problems.
And I gotta tell you this…
These people are most probably hanging out on the internet somewhere. It’s your job to reach them with your content.
Ok. We got ideas. But we aren’t done yet.
2/ The Filter
First, each of these questions can already work as an idea.
But you can cook them a little more.
(To scale them from good to best)
This way, you know which question holds a more viral idea.
And you’ll have to do it a little differently.
Copy all those questions, and paste them inside a chat in ChatGPT with this prompt:
I am giving you some questions my audience has regarding "gym diet for beginners".
I want you to filter them into 3 groups. Desires, problems, and fears.
Structure them in a table. The first column should include all the desires. The second column should have all the problems. And the third column should have all the fears.
Also, add a fourth column which shows how many other questions each question overlaps in terms of context. I want to know how much importance each question has in terms of repetition.
Give each question a number.
Here are all the questions:
[the questions come here]
And here’s the yummiest result…
The final column tells you how many more people may be interested in hearing the answer to that same question.
The most overlapped questions are the best-performing ones.
📍 Here’s a bonus:
3/ Start Writing a Post
How?
Simply choose a question and head over to My Ghostwriter.
Then, use this prompt:
Write a post about "[paste the question here]"
You’ll get a quick draft of your idea (or a question in this case).
This brings us to the final.
Edit, tweak, and add or remove stuff from the draft at your own pace.
📍One last thing:
I don’t want my emails to go to your spam folder. So please reply with “Hi Sami”.
It takes you a second.
Writing this email took me hours.
That’s all for today.
Thanks for reading.
Sami 👋
Excellent post! There’s so much content about using AI to get better, but I love how you go beyond that to the prompts and specifics to get from here to there.
