I once read a post by Nadine about how optimizing her profile helped her get a client.
(Yup. She’s one of the best ghostwriters on LinkedIn)
That got me thinking…
Most people don’t even know about optimizing their profiles, let alone doing it.
And some even ask:
“What’s the benefit of it?”
Well. An optimized profile:
Comes up first on the search on LinkedIn.
Pushes you to the Google search results.
You get more trust from LinkedIn or its algo.
And a lot more that a ghostwriter will know better.
Yup. I know there’s a lot to optimizing your profile.
But if you take care of the SEO at least, you’ll have a competitive advantage than many others.
It’s using the keywords that people use when searching for something.
Not everyone is an SEO expert, but I’ll show you an easy way of doing it.
Using AI for a LinkedIn profile optimization:
1: Decide on what you are about.
Whether it’s your personal brand or a business page, summarize the whole message into one phrase or sentence.
For example, it’s been a long time I haven’t optimized my newsletter page.
So I will create my brand message as:
“Write and grow your brand with AI.”
After this is all done, let’s move to the next one…
2: Research with Perplexity.
By now, you must have realized that perplexity serves better than Google for research.
There are tons of features you can put into play.
I like it’s social feature.
Simply click on “Focus” right where you search and choose “Social.”
After that, use a prompt like this:
Give me [amount in numbers] questions people ask about [your brand message/the sentence or phrase you decided on earlier].
And let’s see what happens…
I got 100 questions here, and what are they for?
They include most of the context people ask for that my newsletter is about.
They cover the problems, needs, wants, demands and whatever you may need to know about how people ask for what you do.
Now, copy all the questions and do this…
3: Write a Headline & an About section.
Here, open ChatGPT.
Yup. It’s got a good sense of writing if you explain well what you want. So,
We’re gonna write a Headline and an About section with it.
Use the prompt below and…
…remember the questions you copied in Perplexity?
Use them with this prompt below:
I want you to analyze all these questions. Once you're done analyzing them, say "DONE" and I'll tell you what to do.
Here are all the questions:
[Paste all the questions here]
The only thing here you’ll get from ChatGPT is “DONE”.
It’s because we did so in the prompt. There’s another step that takes things to the next level.
Here’s the next I will use after:
I have a linkedin business page for my newsletter. And my newsletter is all about helping people write and grow their brand with AI.
I don't have a proper headline and an about section for that page. I want you to write a headline that is not super smart but simple that catches the readers' attention with it's simplicity and usefulness in the message. Make the headline two seperate sentences if needed but include a message that seem useful to the reader. Use any relevant keywords from the questions you may need.
I also want you to write an about section in 300 words about how my newsletter that will help them understand better. Make the about section simple and to the point.
I want you to use all the necessary keywords from the questions I gave you, in the headline and in the about section. Focus more on simplicity.
I want you to write the headline and the about section in a way that whenever someone searches writing or growing a brand with AI, the first thing that shows up in the search result should be the business page for my newsletter. And the name of my newsletter is Savvy Snack.
I want you to write in the reading level of a 5th grade level student. Use short and easy words. Use short and to the point sentences. Use a language that feels natural and like a conversation.
Pay attention to all the bold texts. Change them based on what you want.
And… put it into work.
After you try this prompt, here’s what you’ll get.
Now, create the brandings.
You now only need one thing left:
Edit the output and it will suit your needs even better.
And finally…
I’ll call it a day. Until next…
See ya
that one was a solid read Sami!
Bookmarked.
