If you’ve ever written a post online, you know what a hook is.
And you’ve probably heard:
“A hook is the most important part”
“It’s hard to write a catchy hook”
Some people have caused a bit of a mess believing in these statements.
What mess?
Mess like copying hooks from other people, no matter how little they fit the idea of the post. (This includes templates as well)
And you know what’s interesting?
It’s now a lot easier to write not only one hook in a few minutes, but a bunch of them.
Here, I’m not saying you can write 1000 hit pieces of hooks.
What I mean is that having 10, 20, or (let’s say) 50 hooks at your fingertips will allow you to brainstorm much better and write a banger.
And all this can come only from one hook.
Any kinda hook that you may have written, or seen somewhere on top of someone’s post.
Let me show it to you in action:
Once again, you must have a hook in mind.
This can be the one you’ve written or you’ve seen somewhere else and liked it.
So…
1. Get your hook ready
For example, let’s try a hook that goes:
“Most people write their linkedin content wrong.”
I’ve seen this hook a lot and tbh…
…it sounds much more repetitive now. That’s a valid reason you should rewrite it in some other way before using it.
So, time for you to open ChatGPT.
2. Rewrite the hook with ChatGPT
In a brand new chat inside ChatGPT, paste the hook with this prompt:
Rewrite this headline in 100 different ways. Use different formats and variations. Be creative but also keep being simple and clear.
"[put your hook in here]"
Ok. Let’s put ChatGPT into some mental cardio.
First, we asked for 100 different hooks. This will give us more options to choose from.
Second, we asked to be clear and creative.
BOOM!
This is like one hook giving birth to a bunch more.
Almost all of them hold the same message and meaning, but just say it in different ways.
(Less boredom. More freshness)
And if you still couldn’t choose a better hook in these 100, then we gotta talk.
