I received a message last week asking for help to start posting on LinkedIn.
It may be the fear of starting or not knowing how to create a piece of content for the first time. And fear also comes when you aren’t sure how to do something.
But that fear is beatable.
I’ve helped you all with a system that can write posts in minutes. I’m sure you all have accessed it by now.
The system alone can get you going on content.
Why do I say that?
For many creators, creating content is hard and time-consuming. (And that system takes care of both)
Now, I’ll add one more thing to that…
Using Copilot to write multiple copies at once.
Those wondering why I didn’t use ChatGPT, hear me out:
Copilot can do most of what ChatGPT does but for free. One of them is reading external links, and I’ll cover that here in a second.
Sound good. Right?
Let’s get it going.
Write multiple copies at a time using Copilot:
1: Find a piece of content on the internet.
It can be a blog of yours. Or a newsletter or anything. Make sure it’s a long-form content piece.
(Make sure it is publicly available and not private.)
Prefer a piece of content that covers multiple topics or angles.
Copy the link. Head over to the next step which is…
2: Using the prompt on Copilot.
Before that, here’s what an engaging copy needs:
Writing an opener (hook)
Using short sentences
Avoiding slang and jargon
Specifying the tone and voice
Adding space between the line
Addressing the simplicity level of words
Setting up the reading level of each post
(These are the nuts and bolts of a copy, especially on LinkedIn)
Again, I like Copilot because it reads external links for free.
(Of course, many other LLMs will charge you for that)
So… this is what Copilot looks like if you haven’t seen it.
Sign up for Copilot. Open it and copy this prompt:
"This is an article from the internet. I want you to write [the amount of posts you want] LinkedIn posts out of it with all the necessary content needed. The posts should be well-formatted copywriting pieces that are based on insights and information. Keep the tone to be [The type of tone you want] and avoid being salesy. Each post should be based on a separate idea that is explained in the article.
You can use content from the article but don't just copy & paste them. The sentences should be short and in the same format as those used on LinkedIn. Keep the word limit for each sentence to 12. I also want you to double-enter after writing each sentence. Each sentence should be a one-liner that fits in a single line. I want you to make each copy/post more than 1000 characters. You can use a mix of short and long sentences. I want you to start every post with a strong and bold statement that is simple and easily understandable. Make the second sentence that either supports or counters the first sentence.
Use the understanding level of a 5th-grade student. Use simple language. Avoid using adverbs and use simple words. Avoid using slang and jargon and if a word is hard to pronounce, find out its simplest form and use it instead. Use more of 1 and 2 syllable words and less of 3 or more syllables words. Avoid using hashtags.
Here is the link to the article:
[Paste the link of the content here]"
Before you paste the prompt into Copilot, remember:
Replace all the brackets with the relevant details. That’s a must.
OK… after you input the prompt into Copilot with the link to the piece of content, hit enter.
And boooooom!
You’ll get as many posts as you asked for.
Check below. This is the initial prompt I input:
I asked for 3 copies and here they are below…
Here’s the second one:
And here’s the third one:
One last thing to keep in mind:
There are multiple variables you can change in the prompt. Like the numbers, the style, the number of words or characters for each post, etc.
You can replace them with whatever you want.
I know every one of us has a slightly different taste in writing. Be it the tone or word usage.
If you feel like changing a part of the prompt does better, do it.
P.S. I’ve prepared a workshop this Saturday with Nadine Klayme, one of the best ghostwriters. It’s about growing your online brand with writing & AI.
You’ll get a system to ideate, strategize, and easily create content for growth.
