It’s Saturday. I’m lying in bed writing this email. I might be sleeping in a few minutes.
Thing is, it’s hard to work beside your bed.
Saying that, Canvas came to ChatGPT 3 weeks ago. I tried it last week and it’s good for writing.
What I liked the most?
It’s much easier to write no matter how long the content should be.
With all further due, lemme show you everything now.
How to use ChatGPT Canvas for writing:
Before everything:
The chatting interface is really good.
Most buttons serve as prompts.
It only works in paid version.
1. Open Canvas.
There’s a seperate option for Canvas at the top.
Choose that first.
Prompt it for something. If nothing changes…
Ask it to “write in Canvas”.
A different window will open. There you’ll have a prompting bar on the left and the output on the right.
Or check this out:
Here, I asked to write a Twitter thread about “weight loss”.
With each other prompt you provide, it replaces the initial output with a new one.
But what I like the most is…
2: The auto-prompter.
We prompt ChatGPT for writing content in certain ways, but this has changed things.
They now work buttons (just a few are available now).
They are:
Add reading levels
Adjust output length
Add or remove emojis
Suggest edits—very easily
What I like the most in this is:
To change the reading level of an output, you just have to make a click.
Look at the right side of this photo:
These adjustments show up once you start writing something.
But that isn’t even the best yet…
3. Edit a part of the output (inside).
After writing something, you may want to change a part of the text, as…
Using shorter words
Bold text
Italic text
Once you select the text, you’ll see a tab apears with some options.
(Inside the orange box)
You’ll see a prompt bar—beside some other options—which helps you rewrite the text however you want.
(No other part of the output will be affected)
Why is this the best update?
You have even more control on how you want to write with AI.
I mean, you can regenerate anything piece by piece.
Pretty much under control. right?
And btw, have you tried this feature yet?
Tell me in a comment or a reply…
P.S. If you still have problems knowing what and how to write, try this GPT.
(It free though) — & full of content.
Have a beautiful Tuesday,
Sami 👋
